Madison Rayon

Madison has spent three years traveling the country with her family, in a camper they built from scratch. Her writing is greatly inspired by her travels, from the snow-blanketed mountains of Colorado to the lush green fields of Tennessee, and the vivifying, jazzy streets of New Orleans. Now, the wild Nevada desert stokes her creativity. Endless hills of sagebrush, hidden caves, plummeting canyons, and a star-salted sky unpolluted by city lights, has encouraged Madison to dig deep inside herself as a writer. Without people, bars, reliable Wi-Fi, and of course: bookstores, she has spent a lot of time thinking about what she wants to say. Using magical realism to illustrate the dark side of reality has been a healing practice for Madison, a way to articulate the depth of human emotion in a surreal and bewitching way.
